Dental Health Month

February is Dental Health Month
Throughout the month during Social Studies and Health our lessons are filled with different acitivities.  This past week we had a local clinic come by and talk to our PreK/K students about the importance of keeping your teeth healthy. They brought along a puppet and a moler mascot. At the end of the prsentation we got a bonus! Each student recieved a goody bad with a toothbrush, floss, and a small tooth holder (for teeth that fall out). Students were really excited.
In the years past when a presenter cannot come, I call different dentist offices and ask for any donations they might be able to donate to our class.  It usually comes out successful and especially because the students love getting a new toothbrush. Here are some resources I have found on the web.

  3. Governments of many countries as well as international organizations have set up programs to control the spread of AIDS. In order to do so people are educated about the disease, how it is acquired and how it can be prevented. what can a diabetic eat at applebees
