Toddler Alert

Saying that 3 boys equals an ADVENTURE is so true.  Having a toddler in the house again after about 7 years has definitely livened up our household as well.
Myles is now a week shy of 16 months!
Check out what he has been up to.

He loves to RUN RUN RUN!

Any sport that has to do with a ball, he absolutely loves!  Check him out dribbling away!

New PJs are always fun and cozy!
Check out his slippers found on Target Online for $3!

Myles recently attended his first high school football game! Go Cardinals! (If you are from TX, then you know how BIG high school football is to a community.)

He is a ball of energy and so so heavy!  For the first time this year we are contemplating on whether to put ornaments on our Christmas tree or not, since he loves anything shaped in a ball form.....

I am also looking for the best toddler toys out there for Christmas.
 Any suggestions would be awesome!

Turkey Trot 2014

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble!  Waddle Waddle Waddle!  It is that time of year again!

Although I am not a classroom teacher anymore I still love sharing all of the educational activities that I have used in my classroom.  I am excited that I get to share and collaborate with a group of awesome teachers and I especially love going into the classrooms and interacting with students from Pre-K to 5th grade.
I am lucky to be at a campus where a communication period is built into their schedules apart from their conference periods in order for us to get together on a weekly basis.  Our main goal is to perfect our craft of teaching all children.  We have professional development, collaboration, planning, and communication going on each week during our "Communication Time".

So,  HAPPY NOVEMBER and I hope you have a great holiday with family and friends!

Here are a few resources I love!

Tie or Tutu?

We are TUTU excited about my brother's gender reveal!  As you all may know, I way out numbered in my household!  DAD, J, Matt, Myles, and our dog Dez are all loving that BOYS RULE in our home.

When we found out my brother and Maria were having a baby, we were overwhelmed with joy and started planning a gender reveal party.  The theme was "tie or tutu?". Mike and Maria had their sonogram that morning but chose not to find out a their appointment, instead the nurse wrote the baby's gender in a sealed envelope and they had delivered it to me.

Mom and dad wore white. We got a box, painted a heart and the words.  Inside is the secret gender color.

Now that mom and dad know, let's have some fun with PINK GLITTER!

And a little more fun with PINK SILLY STRING!

POP! PINK GLITTER!

Needless to say, we are TUTU excited that it's a GIRL!!  I can't wait to buy her first outfit, give her some cheerleading ponytails with big and bright bows!

Best School in the Universe!

Hi there!
I have been on the job for a little over 2 months and so much has been learned!  I definitely learned that I am at the best school in the UNIVERSE, Zavala Elementary!

I have enjoyed working with teachers, administrators and our Zavala community.
I am sharing some really fun highlights that we have had so far, and to think it's only the 1st of October, it has been a blast.  Who knew you could have so much fun at work?!

Did I mention that I love visiting classrooms and recently I had the opportunity to read to Mrs. Garcia's kindergarten class!  I read Splat the Cat goes on a school field trip.

Each week I meet with each of our teachers during a "communication period".  I have loved this component of my new assignment.  I try to make each meeting unique, fun, and engaging just like I did in my classroom.

I recently saw my fourth graders from last year!  It was an amazing feeling to see them so excited and it felt like no time had passed at all and our family mentality still still stood true.

Thanks! See you soon!
